What Is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a cannabinoid found in CANNABIS. Unlike THC, it does not produce intoxication or euphoria. Instead, it helps to relieve stress and can help promote a more restful sleep. Our Bud's Bounty CBD products are made using a 99% pure CBD isolate, so there is no THC in our ISOLATE products.

How Does CBD Work?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound found in the Cannabis plant. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it won’t produce feelings of intoxication or euphoria. 

CBD is a phytocannabinoid since it is found in a plant (“phyto” = plant). Our bodies have what is called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) which is made up of cannabionoids that are naturally produced in our own bodies (“endo” = originating in the body) and receptors that these cannabinoids bind to.

The ECS regulates several processes in the body including pain, mood, inflammation, and stress response. CBD interacts with the ECS which helps promote homeostasis/equilibrium in the body.
